Scott is a board certified specialist in both Canada and the United States, practicing the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Scott grew up in Kelowna, BC. He completed his BSc at McGill University and dental school at the University of British Columbia. Scott then moved to Washington, DC to complete his training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. During his residency he also rotated through several institutions including Johns Hopkins, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Children’s National Medical Centre.
He then furthered his training with a one-year fellowship at Dalhousie University in Halifax with a focus on cleft lip and palate surgery, as well as orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery.
Scott has a special interest in digital treatment planning for dental implants, orthognathic surgery and
reconstructive surgery. He holds privileges at Kelowna General and Vernon Jubilee Hospitals and is on-call for facial trauma. He is also a member of Interior Health’s Cleft Lip and Palate Team. Scott continues to volunteer his time at both the Gospel Mission Charity Dental Clinic in Kelowna and the Community Dental Access Centre in Vernon. He participates in international mission trips to provide cleft lip and palate surgeries to young children in need.
