Scott is a board certified specialist in both Canada and the United States, practicing the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Scott grew up in Kelowna, BC. He completed his BSc at McGill University and dental school at the University of British Columbia. Scott then moved to Washington, DC to complete his training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. His residency included rotations through several institutions including Johns Hopkins Hospital, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Children’s National Medical Centre.

He then furthered his training with a fellowship at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS with a focus on cleft lip and palate surgery, as well as orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery.

Scott has extensive training and experience in digital treatment planning for dental implants, orthognathic surgery and reconstructive surgery. He holds privileges at Kelowna General and Vernon Jubilee Hospitals and is on-call for facial trauma. He is also a member of Interior Health’s Cleft Lip and Palate Team, and a clinical instructor within UBC’s Department of Surgery.

Scott continues to volunteer his time at both the Gospel Mission Charity Dental Clinic in Kelowna and the Community Dental Access Centre in Vernon. Scott recently completed a Masters in Health Administration at UBC and has a particular interest in health care policy and accessibility to care. He enjoys collaborating with his colleagues and regularly attends and provides seminars to local dental and medical study clubs and associations.

Scott worked in private practice for several years before opening his own practice, Kelowna Oral & Facial Surgery (KOFS) in 2019. KOFS is a family business and you will often find Scott’s wife, Laura, and their three daughters at the clinic. Out of the office they are passionate about supporting other local businesses and participating in recreational sports, including squash, mountain biking, skiing, and beer tasting.
