His residency included rotations through several institutions including Johns Hopkins Hospital, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Children’s National Medical Centre.

He then furthered his training with a fellowship at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS with a focus on cleft lip and palate surgery, as well as orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery.

He holds privileges at Kelowna General and Vernon Jubilee Hospitals and is on-call for facial trauma. He is also a member of Interior Health’s Cleft Lip and Palate Team.

Scott continues to volunteer his time at both the Gospel Mission Charity Dental Clinic in Kelowna and the Community Dental Access Centre in Vernon. He participates in international mission trips to provide cleft lip and palate surgeries to young children in need. Scott is currently completing a Masters in Health Administration at UBC and has a particular interest in health care policy and accessibility to care. He enjoys collaborating with his colleagues and regularly attends and provides seminars to local dental and medical study clubs and associations.

Scott worked in private practice for several years before opening his own practice, Kelowna Oral & Facial Surgery (KOFS) in 2019. KOFS is a family business and you will often find Scott’s wife, Laura, and their three daughters at the clinic. Scott and Laura both grew up in Kelowna and are excited to raise their children alongside a large extended family, including great grandparents on both sides! Out of the office they are passionate about supporting other local businesses and participating in recreational sports, including squash, yoga, biking, skiing, and beer tasting.
